The Description of the Trip

You will experience Chiang Mai’s exclusive tour program with Elephant Care and Sanctuary at Chiang Dao Cave, Pha Plong temple going to Tree House Chiangmai in the small local community and Short Trek to the waterfall, Orphanage Hilltribes Kids School Relax at Tree House Chiang Mai.

 

 

The Highlights of the trip

Time duration: Two Days, one night.

Day1   Elephant Sanctuary ,Chiang Dao Cave , Pha Plong temple ,Tree House Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai.

Pick up from the hotel lobby in Chiang Mai at 8:00 am, heading north of Chiang Mai to Mae Tang Elephant Farm to meet the elephant and learn different skills to be the mahout to control your elephant. After that, enjoy the elephant walk in the jungle area in the camp. Enjoy excellent water bathing with your elephant in the river. Then have lunch before heading about an hour to the “Chiang Dao” place, 70 kilometres from Chiang Mai City, where you can find peace and nature together. The stop will be at Pha Plong temple, the peaceful temple in Chiang Dao Valley. Situated on the hillside and can be reached by walking up the stairs flanked by the Naga with 509 steps. Inside the temple is the meditation place where you can spend 15 -20 minutes meditating and keeping your mind away from your busy life.

Then visit Chiang Dao Cave, which once was the resting place for the Burmese soldiers’ troops before they attacked Chiang Mai in the mid-1400s. Inside the cave, enjoy using your imagination to guess the shape of the stalagmite and stalactite in different shapes and forms while exploring inside the cave.

From the cave, have lunch in the local restaurant in front of the cave, then continue the road deep inside the area of Chiang Dao to the Tree House Chiangmai, which is hidden among the forest, and spend overnight in the Tree House Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai.

* Remark* For the tiger kingdom, if you wish to get in and play with the tigers, you can pay the entrance fee tickets by own account; the guide and the driver will wait for you.

Day  2  Short Trek to the waterfall , Orphanage Hilltribes School and Chiang Mai.

After waking up in the morning in the hug of the mountain, I hear birds singing in the early morning with the cool breeze and fresh air of Chiang Dao Mountain. Have breakfast from the balcony, relax before starting the activity, and leave from the Tree House Chiangmai for a trek to the waterfall with a total walk of 4 hours. Along the walkway to the waterfall, see the beautiful forest area, the orphanage hill tribes school where there are many orphan children from many tribes who live there and get support from the local people in that area. Keep walking on the trail, and see the green trees and bushes before reaching the waterfall. Then enjoy relaxing and swimming in the waterfall to refresh yourself. After refreshing yourself, have lunch near the waterfall by locally cooking in bamboo. Then continue the walk back to the Tree House. After the arrival back to the Tree House and relax and get ready for the trip back to Chiang Mai.

09.30 am Heading north of Chiang Mai to Mae Tang Elephant to meet the elephant.
09.45 am Learn different skills to be the mahout to control your and enjoy the elephant sanctuary.
10.00 am Enjoy excellent water bathing with your elephant in the river.
12.00 am Then have lunch before heading about an hour into the “Chiang Dao” area.
02.00 pm The stop will be at Pha Plong temple, the peaceful temple in Chiang Dao Valley.
03.00 pm Then visit Chiang Dao Cave.
05.00 pm Continue the road deep inside the area of Chiang Dao to the Tree House Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai
07.00 pm Dinner and Overnight at Tree House Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai

 

Day 2: Short Trek to the waterfall , Orphanage Hilltribe School,Herbal Sauna at Tree House and Chiang Mai.

7.00 am After waking up in the morning in the hug of the mountain, I Hear birds singing in the early morning with the cool breeze and fresh air of Chiang Dao Mountain.
08.00 am Have breakfast from the balcony and relax.
09.00 am Leaving the Tree House Chiang Mai for a trek to the waterfall with a total walk of 4 hours.
09.30 am See the beautiful forest area, orphanage, and hill tribes school.
11.00 am Then enjoy relaxing and swimming in the waterfall to refresh yourself.
12.00 am Having lunch near the waterfall by locally cooking in bamboo.
04.00 pm Get ready for the trip back to Chiang Mai.

 What should you wear on the trip?

  • You can wear a shirt and a T-shirt when you visit the elephant camp.
  • You should wear the appropriate or polite dress with sleeves and pants below the knees. No tank tops or spaghetti straps in the monastery, and the temple ground.

 

 

Weather tips

November – February.

During the winter in Thailand, from November to February, the temperature ranges from 5-12 degrees Celsius / 41-54 degrees Fahrenheit. It is essential to come prepared with appropriate clothing to stay warm. This period is considered the best time for travelling in Thailand due to the lovely and cool weather. The landscape is covered with blooming flowers and lush vegetation, which makes the biodiversity of birds and wildlife plentiful.

March-May

From March to May, it is summertime, with temperatures ranging from 28 to 33 degrees Celsius (82 to 91 degrees Fahrenheit). The hottest time of the year is in April when temperatures reach as high as 43 degrees Celsius (109 degrees Fahrenheit), and it is recommended to bring light and thin clothing, as well as a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen lotion.

June – October

This is the rainy season, with temperatures ranging between 18 – 25 degrees Celsius / 64 -77 degrees Fahrenheit. An umbrella or raincoat is recommended, and sandals or waterproof shoes are the best footwear options during these months.
