Itinerary

Pick up time:08:00 am
Pick up from the hotel lobby in Chiang Mai city and head to Doi Suthep – Pui National Park, Chiang Mai foothill. Visit the most remarkable and important temple in Chiang Mai. Exercising time by walking up 306 steps to the temples or taking the funicular to the temple with the attitude at 1,100 ms. Above the sea level. See the gold pagoda, which shines in the sun, relaxing and calm atmosphere. Enjoy taking photos in the temple ground. See the lovely view of Chiang Mai City from the temple balcony, which gives you a panoramic view of the town below.
Then, visit Umong temple, located in the forest behind the university. The place is famous for the locals to meditate and practice Buddism. The old tunnel and the chedi in the centre of the temple are remarkable and peaceful. Before heading back to the hotel, stop by the small community, Baan Khang Wat ( the houses near the temple), where small craft shops are in the lovely area to walk around. Then, return to the hotel.

Special Note 

Dressing politely is needed. Please wear long sleeves and shorts or pants below the knees. Winter Palace opens for the public only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It could be closed in the case of the Royal Family in the palace as well on some occasions.

 

Weather  tips

November – February

During the winter in Thailand, from November to February, the temperature ranges from 5-12 degrees Celsius / 41-54 degrees Fahrenheit. It is essential to come prepared with appropriate clothing to stay warm. This period is considered the best time for travelling in Thailand due to the lovely and cool weather. The landscape is covered with blooming flowers and lush vegetation, which makes the biodiversity of birds and wildlife plentiful.

March-May

From March to May, it is summertime, with temperatures ranging from 28 to 33 degrees Celsius (82 to 91 degrees Fahrenheit). The hottest time of the year is in April when temperatures reach as high as 43 degrees Celsius (109 degrees Fahrenheit). It is recommended to bring light and thin clothing, as well as a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen lotion.

June – October

This is the rainy season, with temperatures ranging between 18 – 25 degrees Celsius / 64 -77 degrees Fahrenheit. An umbrella or raincoat is recommended, and sandals or waterproof shoes are the best footwear options during these months.
