Highlights of the trip

Visit Doi Suthep temple, the most sacred temple in Chiang Mai with the golden pagoda. See the city temples in the old town. I was visiting the famous gallery of wood carvings with elephant figures and Snakampang Hot Spring.

Itinerary and Activities 

Tour duration: Daily 08:30 am – 5:00 pm.

8.30 am. At the hotel lobby, Pick up from the hotel to Doi Suthep – Pui National Park, where you will experience a curvy road up the mountain to see Doi Suthep Temple – the most important temple in Chiang Mai. You will have the option to exercise by either walking up 306 steps to the temple or taking the funicular, which will take you to the temple at an altitude of 1,100 meters above sea level. You will have the opportunity to see the Northern Thai dented corner golden pagoda that contains the relic of the Lord Buddha. The temple is surrounded by a mural painting hall that tells the story of the Lord Buddha. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to receive a holy blessing and a wrist-tying ceremony from the Buddhist monk. You can enjoy a panoramic view of Chiang Mai City from the balcony, with birds flying in the sky and cool air blowing against your face.

After visiting the temple, continue to Baan Jang Nak (The House of Elephants), a wood carving gallery where artisans work on wood carvings to create elephant figures. The elephant design has numerous wood carvings to enjoy taking pictures of. Walk around and enjoy the gallery before continuing to Sankampang Hot Spring, which has water heated to 105 degrees Celsius from the earth. You can stroll around the garden and sit and relax your feet, which can help with blood circulation. If you prefer, you can also swim in the hot spring pool.
